Additional Permits Allocation for the Industrial Sector
We are pleased to announce that the Ministry of Economy has issued an additional allocation of 970 permits for the industrial sector. Applications can be submitted until July 14, 2024.
It was also announced that currently employers will be allowed to bring foreign workers from the following countries: Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, India, Latvia, the Philippines, Moldova, Sri Lanka, Romania, and Thailand, in addition to the countries listed in the procedure. This news will allow many employers to apply in the industrial sector and utilize the permit, as until recently, foreign workers could only be brought from countries whose GDP is equal to or higher than that of Israel, such as Austria, the USA, etc.

Employers must pay foreign workers according to the following rates based on the average wage for salaried employees according to National Insurance data:
Important Note!
Employers in the industrial sector who already have a permit to employ a foreign expert worker may request to convert this employment permit to an industrial sector permit, according to the conditions of the procedure.
